The Civil Aviation Authority has posted the following news on Skywise this morning:

“While we absolutely appreciate that much of the UK’s aviation community is being severely affected by COVID-19, we do need to prepare for a safe return for aviation and develop future rules and regulations.

To meet that aim our consultation on a new edition of ‘Operation of Permit-to-Fly ex-military aircraft on the UK register’ (CAP623) has now opened.

CAP632 includes operational requirements that an applicant for the issue of a Permit-to-Fly for an ex-military aircraft is required to meet. It is aligned with CAP403 Flying Displays and CAP1724 Display Standards Document.

More details and the draft edition is available on our consultation page. We welcome comments and suggestions and the consultation will remain open until 12 June.”
