Following the cancellation of the DS20 Pre-Season Flying Display Symposium, the Civil Aviation Authority can now confirm that for display pilots who had registered to attend the Symposium in order to satisfy the CAP 1724 para 11.7 requirement concerning Flying Display Symposium attendance, that the requirement has been extended by 12 months. This will allow the opportunity to attend either the DS20 Post-season or the DS21 Pre-season Symposia.
For display pilots affected by this issue, when applying for a DA renewal please enter the date of the last Symposium that was attended in the appropriate box on For SRG1300. Then, in the attachments section, when asked “do you wish to upload document(s) in support of this recommendation?”, please upload either a document with the statement “booked onto DS20 Pre-season Symposium” or the Symposium booking confirmation email that would have been sent out at the time of booking.
