Each year, in association with the MAA, BADA organises two Air Display Conferences at the Defence Academy, Shriveham. These take place Pre and Post Season bring together Air Display Organisers, Display Pilots, Flying Display Directors and other key people from the UK air display industry. These Conferences are free to BADA members.

Conference Archive

BADA Members can view archived presentations from all Air Display Conferences and Symposia from 2014 onwards in the members area. Please be aware, you need to be logged in to use this facility.

BADA Business Day – 21st October

The British Air Display Association will holding the BADA Business Day at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford on the 21st October (PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE).

Our outline programme, running from approx 1000 to 1630 currently is designed to address 5 questions:

  1.  How does parliament/government view airshows? – dependant on the outcome of voting on 8 June!
  2.  How do we maximise the performance of our events?– including sponsorship, etc.
  3.  How do we manage risk in the post-Shoreham world? – we hope to have something from the Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL) who wrote the report on the Shoreham RA
  4.  Can display pilots offer event organisers a more economic service? – and what are the current difficulties pilots face?
  5.  How do others (e.g. HAA, LAA) view UK airshows? – e.g. HAA, LAA
  6.  What has been tried in the past? – What next for BADA?
